I found this yesterday over at Survivorblog.com Seems the folks at the State Capital in Wyoming have got a clue to what is going on in this world and our country. Glad to see something like this going on.
Another Sunday in the Bunker. #2 son has left for work. I am the only one up. The cats are being themselves. Sleeping or bugging each other. i have read some fellow bloggers posts trying to catch up.
They are talking about rain later. We could use it. very dry here with some brush fires burning. We have some of our neighbors get drunk once or twice a week and decide its sing a long time. Talked with the complex Ops Manger about it, he gives them until 10 - 10:30. He knows they get drunk. One gal unless she has a medical condition seems to be buzzed almost all of the time. So very sad. I hate being in an apartment but when you don't have a choice you make do. I try not to get close to any of them. i don't want to know about their issues, and I don't want them to know mine.
So what will the new week bring ?? Higher gas prices is s no brainier. We have some stations who are already charging over $5.00 a gallon. One is by Disney, two others out by the Airport. Iran wants to cut off other country's from their oil. OK, are you not cutting your own throat, No sales, no money?? Food prices are on the rise. Blame the cost of fuel. or oil in general. dam commodities traders. They don't help. In the mean time the Idiot in D.C. does nothing.
The family is starting to get better. Took youngest to Dr Friday. yes there seems to be more winter crud this year. My wife set up the youngest for a back to school check up in June. The gal at the Dr office looks at us and says, finally someone with intelligence. "Why because we plan ahead??" She said "Yes most don't." Sounds right why plan ahead?? I mean the stores will always have food and everything else we need when all hell breaks loose.
Well everyone that is about it at the Bunker. I just want you to know I read everyone's posts, but sometimes I don't reply when I agree with the others.
Enjoy the rest of your weekend. stay Safe, and Alert. Remember, its Us like minded people vs the Zombies.
Here is a little humor to start your day. We are having a crazy weekend here in Central Florida. We have the NBA All Star Game, Daytona 500 and Disney World is having a Half Marathon. Speaking of NBA, We had a riot last night at the Florida Mall. I guess it was over some kind of shoe being sold by Nike. Rioting over shoes, my god what will they do when they have no food,or gas. I can see rioting over the price of gas an food, but shoes??
Have a good weekend everyone. Stay Safe and Stay Alert.
I have been thinking about this for the last few days, and so I thought I would ask everyone of their opinion of this question. What would you do, knowing what direction this country is headed, if the opportunity came about for you to start a business in the next few weeks. ?? So the question is, Would you start a business??
I have many years of experience in airline catering. I have spent a lot of time looking into starting my own business. Working long hours is not a problem or working 6 or 7 days is not a problem. I would start as a consultant, and expand from there. God may have opened the door to this venture, but I am not sure what to do.
I am finding it hard to plan anything long term, knowing that our world and our country is changing, but not for the better. Please feel free to leave your opinion here or email me at robsrangers11 at yahoo.com.
The Union Creek Journal (UCJ) is a fictional work about survival. The journal chronicles the struggles of the Johnson family to survive after a global economic crash reduces the United States to 19th Century living. The Johnsons prepared but survival is still difficult – physically and emotionally.
Follow the UCJ for frequent updates to the story of the Johnson family and tips to survive an apocalyptic collapse that could really happen.
If you have not heard of the Union Creek Journal, you are missing a well written and thought out story. I have been one of the first followers of the journal. Stop by and check it out. This will diffidently make you stop and think about what may be ahead for our country.
Thank you all for the kind words and prayers for my wife. Turns out it was not her heart at all, but her ear infection and a large amount of fluid behind her ear was making her dizzy. They are not sure about the chest pains, but all her heart tests came back normal.
They changed her from Amoxicillin to Cipro. She was also given medicine for the dizziness. She is home now being waited on by the kids. Good thing the nurses didn't take my B.P. or I may have been admitted.
Just a quick post here. My wife was admitted to the hospital last night. She was complaining of dizziness and chest pains. So far the tests ate showing her chest pains may not be her heart. I am about to walk to the hospital. It will only take about an hour. I will update later, as i am bringing my laptop with me to keep my sanity.
Language Barrier in America you ask?? Let me tell you that there is one here in Central Florida and it drives my family and I crazy. We have all kinds of tourists come here to go to Disney World, SeaWorld, Universal, and Legoland theme parks. I welcome anyone who comes here to visit and spend their money and help our economy. The problem we have is when tourists come here they expect us to speak their language. I speak English and only English.
I have people stop me from time to time asking for directions. I will help them get to where they need to go. I had a couple stop me earlier in the week. The lady shows me a piece of paper with their hotel name on it. It was on the west side of Disney World, I am on the East Side. I tell them how to get there, but they did not speak English, and did not understand me. I just pointed to the west and they drove off.
My oldest son works at Red Lobster as a sever, he said they had a couple from France come in and could not speak English. I believe the couple left because no one spoke French. Son #2 has had the same issue this week at his new job as a houseman at a large hotel nearby. Half the housekeeping staff speak Spanish and the other Haitian Creole. Which is part French. Many will not speak English on purpose. (I have seen this before.) He went to his supervisor about this and the guy basically brushed him off. The guy training him in had trouble speaking English.
My wife has a close friend who lived in EL Paso, TX and did not work for 2 years because she would not learn Spanish. Oh she worked for J.C. Penny's and transferred in. Her husband was in the Army. She was told she had to be bilingual.
My point is IF I go to your country I would have to know your language, you should know how to speak English. My family is made up of Irish, Norwegian, and Swedish. They had to learn English to survive, these people should too. My kids have had this happen at there school. Teachers have taught the whole class period in Spanish and then have the nerve to ask my kids why we don't speak Spanish. The reply given to the teacher was why we are not Spanish..A Dah
Back in 2004 we almost bought a house. The bank was going to give us a loan for $150,000.00 and a second for the down payment. We also could not find a 3 bedroom home for under $150,000.00. One house we saw we walked around for an hour looking at it, but two things stopped us. It had stairs located in the back of the house to go upstairs. They were very narrow, and would have been difficult to get beds up there. The other was it had at one time a coal fired furnace or fuel oil furnace.
There was a area that held the fuel oil tank or coal bin. It didn't smell right. We did not have a flash light to check it out. My gut told me no. We did look at another house we loved, but it was on a busy highway, and next door to a bar/restaurant. So we passed on that one. After looking at many homes and not finding one in our price range we gave up.
At this point in my life, I don't see myself owning a home. I would be happy with some land and a mobile home, shack or tent, to call home, instead of living in an apartment.
Happy Valentines Day to my loving wife. This is our 26th together. I love you so much that words can not describe my love for you. You are the best thing to happen to me. Plus the gift of 5 wonderful children, I would not change anything.
I love you so much, XOXO (x26 years) Your Loving Husband, Me
My wife and I Registered to Vote today in Florida, so we can help vote Obama out of office in Nov. My oldest daughter did too. I just need to get all 3 of my sons registered next. My daughter asked what party we belong to, I said GOP, Anything but Democrat.
Just how cold is it here in Florida?? Look at this photo. Yep just that cold. Most of your fruit coming from Florida will go up in price soon.
We have laundry to do, but no one what's to go outside. #2 son was going paint balling today but everyone bailed out. Too cold. The wife and I have to fast tonight for blood work in the morning. No food after midnight. i told her I am eating at 11:30pm. A lazy day today, kids are online doing school work and watching movies. I have the TV on and watching Walking Dead. never seen this before. Just got AMC at our complex.

He was seasonal. #1 daughter is getting her ID issue resolved so she can start work again. She was hired but had no photo id so she was taken off the schedule. #3 son has also found a job. Waiting for back ground check to come back.
Wife made some banana bread yesterday, Oh so good.
Special Delivery for Iran. Do you think its big enough??
Looks like Boeing and the U.S. Air Force are going to upgrade our Bunker Buster Bombs. A stop and makes you think again moment. I for see an attack on Iran soon. By the U.S. or Israel, that I don't know.
Stupidity, Have you ever stopped what you are doing and just watch the world around you?? Seriously, I am not joking. I have some photos I have found to prove it. Look at these two photos, pay close attention to the women in the last photo..
Note she is smoking at the same time
After see these and knowing that in our world we have more of these folks walking around. I feel that I have a college degree, a PHD thank you very much.
I will close out this post with these.....
Enjoy your weekend, and beware the stupid folks in life.
Hi We are on NatGeo TV Dooms Day Prepers, NatGeo made monkeys out of us.
SO I am glad that I have the same feeling as everyone else when it comes to the NatGeo Dooms Day preparers show. I am new to all of this. Aug of last year. But why on God's green earth would you go on nation or International TV, stand there and say, "Hi my name is Stupid and this is what we have and this is what we are going to do" Weed man has I think had too much WEED in his diet, OH well. I would rather be online and get to know folks who know what the hell is going on, and get advice from them, then to watch this TV show.
You may just as well raise a large hot air balloon and say now open.... I always tell my kids STEALTH, see but try and not be seen. We have neighbors who are always outside smoking out front, instead of out back. I always feel that they are watching us come and go. These would be that first ones I would like to see go. Many time we bring stuff in through the back so they don't see what we have. One day a neighbor said " Oh look they have new stuff" In my mind it was more like "Back off Bitch or else"

I think this is getting to be an important issue. Going back to the Gold Standard and Local Money please check this story out from CNN. I know CNN is liberal but to me this makes sense. What else can we do if the Fed keeps printing money and the borrowing, increases the country's debt. Ron Paul and Newt are for going back to the gold standard.
Sorry I have not updated before now. I did end up at the Dr on Friday. Yes I have Bronchitis, and an ear infection. I am more worked up that at almost 52, I have an ear infection. OK Lord, Jolly joker. So I am on Amox. 3 x a day. My wife and I now have health insurance again. This alone will drive you crazy. It was cut Nov. 30th, Feb 1st we get it back. OK fine, Well play the game. But different insurance, which mean different Dr.
The good news is this DR is a lot closer, could walk if need be. But now I have to go through another round of medical tests Blood, urine, physical etc. They check my blood sugar, and the nurse lets out this gasp. Its high, Ok. The DR comes back in and gives my that look. I know Doc. back on more pills, and checking blood sugar. I have pricked my finger so many times. My wife is driving me nuts. She keeps wanting me to recheck my BS. Then she says you need to go to the hospital. "Clam down honey is coming down." So no more ice cream. But if I am good I do get cake this week, as S#2 is turning 23. Next month its my turn...52.
So sometime this week I have to go in for more testing. See Stephen your not alone bud.
Oh and I was also given a new medication, See below....
I know I'm a BAD BOY....(evil grin) I maybe sick but you need a sense of HUMOR !!!
I was going to post about what I added to my stores, but I am now officially sick. I feel crappy, but I know I feel better then Stephen. Hang in there buddy, good things are just around the corner. Anyway here is two photos for today. Hope to be feeling better in a few days.
I had this posting some to mind as I was posting a comment for Stephen. Our life and times is but a small grain of sand in the Hourglass Of Life. Not just our life but the life of man. When GOD created the Heavens and the Earth he started the Hourglass of life. Ever grain of sand that passes through the Hourglass is a life that is over with, finished. So many have passed, but so many more have not. When the last grain of sand passes then life is over. When I say life is over I am think all of mankind.
I hope this makes sense. I am not a writer, and sometimes I think faster then I can put words down. I think of so many things at the same time, I get sidetracked. It is my wish that everyone has a good day today and every day. Keep Alert, and Stay Safe.
